In June 2019 the Care Quality Commission (CQC) published their review report, ‘Smiling Matters: Oral health care in care homes.’The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) had produced guidelines (NG48) recognising the importance of good oral care for adults in care homes. This Thursday we are excited to be travelling to London, to the offices of Care England, to join a steering group headed up by Julia Jones of ‘John’s Campaign’ which will focus on the importance of collaboration with families and loved ones in the care sector. Our Care Quality Commission (CQC) report has been published and we are proud to share with you details of our amazing report which has the rating of ‘Good’ in all 5 areas of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. Apple House Speaks at Westminster Briefing…

Westminster Briefing: The first stop for public policy debate with Westminster and Whitehall. Jane Montrose, Managing Director of Apple House care group, and Romaine Lawson, Director of Operations, were thrilled to be invited to speak at a Westminster Briefing in London last week.  The invitation followed the CQC ‘Outstanding’ rating of one of the group’s homes and focused on how leading services prepare for CQC inspections and met the updated CQC Assessment Framework.
