Congratulations!

We are incredibly proud of Apple House care home’s registered manager, Jayne Jackson.  Jayne recently completed her Level 5 in Health and Social Care.  We asked Jayne how she felt about her amazing achievement, here’s what she told us:

“Attaining Level 5, Health and Social Care, has been enormously important for my personal development.  I challenged myself to complete the course in eighteen months, and chose subjects that I particularly wanted to expand my knowledge base in such as operational aspects of managing a care service alongside the day to day delivery of the service.  I also really enjoyed my research project which was on the somewhat controversial topic of medical ineffectuality of placebo medication and converse benefits.  I did not realise how many times I could change my opinion on this subject! This is definitely something that I will discuss further with the mental health team. I am now supporting a colleague to undertake this course and look forward to seeing how he, too, will grow and develop in his role.  In the future I look forward to achieving Level 7!
