LD residential care vacancy…

Across the group, we now have one vacancy at our New Forest home, Summerwood. Summerwood is a specialist residential home for up to 8 adults with learning and physical disabilities, who may also have complex needs and/or needs associated with the autistic spectrum.  Summerwood offers extremely flexible accommodation which can be utilised as either a stepping stone to more independent living or for a high needs service.  We now have available one delightful ensuite first floor bedroom with garden view. Wishing our residents who are currently on holiday, a wonderful time! This week there are two separate holidays well underway, with another starting next Monday.  Further holidays are taking place next month too.  In addition, this week there are planned trips to Weymouth Sea Life Centre, Monkey World, the New Forest and Aquarium.  Aren’t we lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country? 🙂 …

Apple House gets a makeover!

Apple House care home in Bournemouth will be getting a makeover while residents are away on holiday next week!  It will be all hands on deck for the transformation! Included in the schedule of works is a new cloakroom, new shower room, redecoration including blue walls for D’s room, as requested by D, and fresh new soft furnishings.  All who live at Apple House are excited to return from holiday to see our handiwork!  We are delighted to again be working with Ultimate Interiors and our own handyman, Adrian. …

Bushcraft experience…

A first for Apple House care homes, was a day of bushcrafting with Sunrise Bushcraft of Hampshire. “D and J both participated in the bushcraft adventure. Following a nature trail, they identified different leaves and brought home a picture of the leaves that they had collected. Nuts were then collected for use on the fire.Both got involved in making dream catchers and now have them hanging in their rooms.
